This book is the result of Francesco Santovetti’s expertise in cars: he was a protagonist of the car world in Rome in the Fifties and attentive collector of vintage cars. Santovetti has written an account full of passion for this “classical” car and bike race that took place from 1921 to 1966 in Central Italy. The race was partaken by cars from all over Europe, and by drivers such as as Nuvolari, Biondetti, Borzacchi, Fagioli, Lurani, Marzotto, Soldini or Taruffi. All pictures (more than 250) are originals from that time and they are presented with fully explanatory texts.
